Driving from St David's last night (Saturday 23rd Nov) at 11 pm with a very clear sky “Orion was high in the sky and so visible. It seemed to fill the sky. I have never seen it like this before.”

A wonderful view. Saturn is in upper left corner with a new moon above Venus and Jupiter from Florida Keys. Shame we don't have the same clear skies in Pembrokeshire

11 Nov. ………..Well that one ticked off on the Astronomical Bucket list. I spend an hour early this afternoon watch intermittently( as cloud kept interrupting) little Mercury creeping across the fiery face of the Sun clearly through the telescope.
But with the camera ….I didn't realise until I studied it on the computer monitor and did a bit of adjustment to the saturation, that I managed to get an image of Mercury, with my Fujifilm X-T2 and a 10-400mm zoom lens plus solar filter. Don't anyone dare tell me it is a speck of dust on the camera sensor!!!!!
