Where were you on the tragic day?
I was spending an hour on a warm, sunny and peaceful Autumnal September afternoon at Milford Marina when the car radio broke the news.
Six months later I was in a hotel room overlooking the 17th Precinct Firehouse and Police Station in New York (see attached photos all but two taken from the hotel room or entrance)…. amazingly New York seemed pristine and clean so soon after what had happened – except for the gaping hole that was the Twin Towers, that looked like the cavity after a badly extracted tooth, and, of course, the little memorials outside Firehouses and Police Stations!
“Rest in peace all those who lost their lives on that tragic day. and never forgotten are those heroes who did all they could to help.”
