Hi all- a 3.6 mile walk which started under leaden sky's and rain but quickly changed and rewarded the 26 walkers with brightening blue sky and frequent sunshine. The walk started from Stackpole Court, after the group previously met at the Stackpole Inn for lunch orders, and then set off across the Stackpole estates eight arch bridge and out towards Saddle Point Headland. Some lovely coast views, especially over Broad Haven beach, were enjoyed by the group especially in the warming Autumn sun. The group returned via the Western side path of the Eastern Branch of the Lily Ponds towards the eight arch bridge and then returned to the cars. A very enjoyable lunch was taken at the Stackpole Inn which recharged tired legs and replaced lost liquids. A very warm vote of thanks for the walk organisation was made by Helen Lewis John to the walk leaders and organisers David and Wendy Proctor although Wendy had to unfortunately miss the walk itself since she is recovering from the flu but her impeccable excellent walk weather record was maintained despite delegating to David!!.
Additionally both Helen and Wendy are requesting walk leader volunteers and brief description for the Jan and Feb 2013 walk entries in the Newsletter which will have to be in place before the planning meetings for the respective walk groups -provisionally set for 10th December and the 7th January respectively.
