Hi all – lovely walk today in the bright Summer August weather with the heat fortunately eased by a bracing South westerly breeze:
After ordering meals at St. Ishmaels nursery the group of approx. 23 walkers relocated to the 12th Century St. Ishmael's Church car park before setting out on the approx. 2.7 mile walk.
The route went down to Monk Haven Bay which was the setting of many pictures by two 20th century artists namely war artists Ray Howard-Jones and Graham Sutherland who fell under the enchantment of the Monk Haven area.

The climb up from Monks Haven to the Victorian Watchtower at Watch House Point gave some fine views across to Dale Fort and Dale and the Southern half of the County.
Following the coast path behind Watch House and Wenell Bays the group turned inland prior to Lindsway Bay and back via the sports field and the outskirts of St Ishmaels to the car park.
A most enjoyable lunch was taken at St Ishmael's nursery and a very sincere vote of thanks was made by Brian Griffiths to David and Wendy Proctor as walk leaders.
Attach a few photos for you,
