Hi all – the 40 walkers met at the large Milford Marina Quay car park adjacent to the Harbourmaster Restaurant to order lunch. Despite an previous weather forecast advising of early morning showers the walk was rewarded with dry, sunny conditions throughout although the breeze was a little bracing on the Dock Quay wall. The 3.3 mile route took us along the Marina perimeter and then via Haven’s Head and Liddeston up to the top of the hill. After joining Lower Priory Road and progressing to the bottom of the hill the walk turned right to join the pathway beside Hubberston Pill returning to the Havens Head car park and Marina. The return section was along the valley under the trees and made for quite warm walking condition in the sunshine. A very welcome lunch was taken by 35 of the walkers in Martha’s Vineyard. A vote of thanks was made by Wendy Proctor to the walk leaders namely Lou Bulmer, Val Rowlands, Sue Marchant and Gill Gilbert which was warmly supported by the walkers present.
