Hi all- an enjoyable 2.6 mile (equivalent to 3 miles on Julia's clockwork pedometer!) circular walk with Paskeston Hall as base. The walk was enjoyed in dry, although slightly humid conditions, by 25 walkers although recent unseasonal weather had made the otherwise lovely woodland and countryside route a bit of a challenge and was slippery in parts due to the mud and water but the lovely views over the local Cleddau “guts” and over Carew Castle and Tidal Mill dam more than compensated, and the muddy trousers and boots were a small price to pay . The walk quickly became part of a fond memory when 23 of the walkers tucked into the booked lunch at Paskeston Hall of a hearty homemade soup, no doughboys!, together with a selection of scones with clotted cream and jams topped off with a wide selection of cakes . The food was washed down with an exotic selection of teas . The group warmly thanked Wendy and David Proctor for organising a most enjoyable walk and lunch. Attach a few photos for you….
