Hi all- a very enjoyable and undulating 4 mile woodland walk was taken today through Caneston Woods via Blackpool Mill and then through Minwear Wood in convivial company and dry weather conditions- at last!!!.
The 30+ walkers met at the Bush Inn for lunch selection before a small relocation to the car park adjacent to the A40 before setting off.
The area around Blackpool Mill and the Eastern Cleddau river were particularly pretty.
The walk was particularly enjoyable since the area and route were new to the majority of the walkers.
A very welcome lunch was enjoyed by the majority of the walkers at the Bush Inn and a vote of thanks was made by Helen Lewis John to Hazel Absalom, Sheila Davies and Glyn Rogers as walk leaders which was warmly supported by the attendees.
