For those considering joining us for the next Monday walk at Rosebush, here is a copy of the menu for lunch at Tafern Sinc and a copy of our planned route for the walk that is a little over 3.5 miles. The route offers splendid views and reasonable walking conditions. It is a figure of eight walk so those feeling they would like a short walk could wait for us by the ford while we complete the second loop. If there is time there will also be the option of taking a closer look at the old quarry works.
Please meet at the Tafern Sinc Inn. It is preferred that we DO NOT USE Tafern Sinc's car park which is not very big, and there is a public car park behind the pub. Drive past the pub car park and then take a sharp left turn followed by another down to the public car park. From Haverfordwest take the B4329 to Cardigan, after 12 miles turning right at New Inn junction on to the B4313 to Rosebush and Maenclochog. There is a brown sign to Tafern Sinc indicating you turn LEFT into Rosebush village. A pleasant walk of approx 3.5 miles from Rosebush initially along the route of the old railway line past historic quarries and the remains of the Pantmaenog Forest. Mostly hard paths. No stiles, DOGS ON LEAD.
Walks begin at 10.30am, but please be at the meeting point NO LATER THAN 10.15am, for registration and to make your choice from the lunch menu. New walkers please contact Helen on 01646 692064, or if no reply then the designated walk leader/s for that day.
