The proposed closure of Pembroke's Library and Info. Centre.
I attended a meeting on this subject at Narberth. I threatened the Council officials present with all sorts of consequences if they closed Narberth library without allowing the U3A and Town Council the opportunity to staff it with volunteers. It worked, and that library stays open.
May I suggest that those U3A members who live South of the water be made aware of the Council’s intent by attending a public meeting to be held on March 21 at Pembroke Town Hall from 7 p.m. A drop-in session will be available on that day from 4 p.m. where the members' views will be recorded.
