Hi all –  trust you have all recovered from the Christmas Lunch at St Brides Castle Hotel yesterday.
The Lunch was attended by approximately 50 Members and as part of her introduction to the day Helen Lewis John looked back on a very successful Walking Year and with her usual optimism looked towards to a rewarding 2015.
She  thanked all of the Walk leaders for the very successful, popular and enjoyable year with specific mention to Brian Griffiths for providing particular support to the Group in terms of assistance to other Walk Leaders and for several Walks that he has lead.
This was warmly supported by the attendees.
Helen also wished Glyn a slightly belated Birthday Wish for the 7th Dec. who received a card signed by the group and which followed a slightly “out of tune” rendition of Happy Birthday.

Particular mention was made for our thoughts and wishes to be with Graham and Jean Goodeve during a particularly difficult time.

Helen then progressed onto the 2015 Season Plan for Walks and requested Walk Leaders and provisional venues at available dates.
With barely 15 minutes to spare before the Lunch was scheduled to commence the Walk year had been collated and there was little remaining except to dot the i’s and cross the t’s  to finalise the Programme.

A bouquet and a card of thanks was presented to Helen by Brian Griffith’s as a token of appreciation for her Group Leadership efforts and dedication over the last year.

A most enjoyable (up to 3 course lunch) was enjoyed by the Group which concluded with mince pies and coffee.

A vote of thanks was given to the staff of the St Brides Bistro for a most enjoyable lunch which was warmly supported by all & together with a big thank you to Sheila Davies for liaising on the Lunch arrangements.
Attach a few photos for you…..
