Subject: Information for you
Enquiry: Dear U3A group leader,Have you considered organising a time away with your group? Bassenfell Manor in the Lake District is a superb venue for a U3A residential, and I am writing to inform you of availability and the excellent value that we provide.
Our large manor house is in a great setting overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. There is a comfy lounge, coffee bar, conservatory and conference room downstairs, and the 19 bedrooms are mostly en-suite. Our website has details of all facilities: http://www.bassenfell.org.uk
Bespoke packages are made for each group
? you are free to just use Bassenfell Manor as a self catering venue, providing your own programme at the cost of ?15 per person per night
? you can choose to be catered for (or partially catered for) and do your own programme
? you can choose to opt into to some instructed outdoor activitiesFor the past 5 years we have run outdoor adventurous activity weeks for ?seniors? (aged 50 to mid 70?s!) and many people have enjoyed doing activities that they thought may have passed them by.
The Lake District can be stunning at anytime of the year and with full central heating and an efficient drying room, Bassenfell can be enjoyed in comfort in the quieter months. We have mid weeks available in November, December, January, February and March; and sometimes weeks are available in April, May, September and October.
Bassenfell operates sole occupancy, so you have the place to yourselves. All you have to do is commit to a minimum number of people (as low as 15 people per night in the quieter months). You can book for as many nights as you like (assuming availability).
Please get in touch to discuss when you?d like to come and your catering and programme needs.
